The Victory4All Emergency Fund

Thulisa is one of the team members at Rainbow Angels. Her daughter Alunga is in a wheelchair and attends Rainbow Angels day care herself. Despite her limitations, Alunga has made tremendous progress and has even learned to read. She enjoys it immensely!

Last May, Thulisa and Alunga experienced something terrible: a fire broke out in their home due to an explosion. Thulisa was just able to wheel Alunga out in her wheelchair, but nothing else could be saved. The few furniture and possessions they had, including Alunga’s splints: they lost everything.

News of this disaster went viral in the Netherlands. Within a few days, huge numbers of people heard about their need and gave generously. We were pleasantly surprised by this generosity! We decided to create the Victory4All Emergency Fund specifically for emergencies like this one. All donations to this fund made it possible for Thulisa and Alunga to start over: we have found a temporary home for them while we continue to search for a more permanent solution. We were also able to help them buy new clothes, furniture and other necessities.

So much was given that we can continue to use this fund to help staff and students in our schools and programs who are facing urgent (medical) difficulties. There are a few situations we are currently exploring. It would be great to help several families who have nowhere else to turn. We are grateful for all the donations from around the world that make this possible. Please donate specifically to this emergency fund so that we can support them and others in the future.
