The students of the Maranatha School have raised more than €10,000 for Victory4All!
Every year the school in Nijkerk chooses a charity for which it collects money. Nijkerk in The Netherlands is the hometown of Johan and Astrid Vos, the founders of Victory4All. The proceeds from this charity run walk would be specifically intended for the students of King’s College primary school, part of Victory4All. At this school, children receive good education from lovely teachers, in small classes. This is in contrast to local public schools, where the quality of education can be extremely low and the classes are far too big, sometimes as many as 70 students per class.
CHARITY RUN
All children took sponsorship lists to family, friends and neighbors to get sponsored. On June 7th, the time had come: the school and surroundings turned into an athletics track and after the count-down the students completed as many laps as possible. Because more laps meant more euros for new uniforms, stationery and healthy meals for the students of King’s College.
On July 4th, Sieds Elze Sennema, director of the Maranatha School, and Pieter Vos, director of Victory4All, added up the proceeds and the end-result was announced: €10,486.42. (R206.600 or $11.400)
To all students and all sponsors: baie dankie!
