Last time we already shared about all the happy Jeffrey’s Bay and Humansdorp citizens who now have the possibility to enjoy the famous Dutch ‘syrup waffles’. This has grown into a real business run by six youngsters from the Skills Centre. A real Stroopwafel bakery! These youngsters found a life goal and get an income out of this business. They now have their own space and more and more shops spread over South Africa now stock the famous delicious cookies. Derk, a Dutch staff member initiated and headed this department but regretfully he and his wife are moving back to the Netherlands. We are all very thankful though that a local staff member is added to the team who will be overseeing the production and distribution of the stroopwafels.
